Analisys of Double Indemnity

Double Indemnity is a classic conventional old time thriller film similar to cape fear. Unlike Memento and Wallander it's black and white and has a constant sound of tension billing music orchestrated from a trumpet, also it has the sound of a constant beating of a drum witch creates the suspense and panic . Throughout the whole opening sequence it's credits, which is unusual because it doesn't give us any clues to the story line but in contrast to that it does make the audience begin to think as they show a silhouette of a man on crutches with a clear limp, also it follows the conventions of the thriller genre with close ups with the silhouette nearing the end of the title sequence . The only clip we get of the movie is an establishing shot of a street and a rail-way station. The only other Thriller opening sequence movie convention this fits is that it's filmed during the night time.
