Film synopsis of my groups thriller

After analysing numerous amounts of opening thriller films it was time to start on planning a thriller film of our own. Before this could happen we as groups of 3 would have to make a detailed plan and overview of the story and then plan in=t in a story bored. The reason why we Have to come up with a hole thriller story line is because it well help us as a group to come up with a detailed opening thriller story and inputting all the conventions on what makes a good thriller, for example having a clue/hint in the opening sequence which doesn’t make sense but feather down the line in the story it will fit in perfectly due to the non liner story line.

Plot Synopsis:

There is a group of three friends. One of the friends, Scott Gregory seems to be behind the other two, (Norman Allen and Brandon Feonix). He seems to be the 'tag-along' of the group. Norman and Brandon lead quite good lives. Have a fair bit of money, both have girlfriends, they live in a slightly higher class area and they don't do very much at home as they both have a mother and a father there if they need them. Scott has only one person at home, his mother, as his father died shortly after he left his old school (which was not a very good school) to go to a better school in Sutton. As his friends keep on bragging about what they have and how well they're getting on in their school, Scott gets very angry about this and tries to keep his anger to himself. His friends, however, keep on going on about their fantastic lives and Scott just goes along with everything they are saying. Norman or Brandon might say what they have done recently. For example, going to places like the 02 or even just up to Croydon. Scott just answers them by saying "Oh, yeah. Yeah, its good there". -Even when he has never been to any of the places brought up by his friends. His friends say things like "Oh, my dad got me this I-phone for my birthday. You can do like, bare things with it, you know!". Scott would just answer, "Oh, yeah, my mum got me last years nokia" (or something along those lines). Eventually, Scott gets too frustrated and, really, looses it. He gets his hand on a gun, planning to kill his friends and hopefully take some of their things. He then saw how happy they were with everything and decided to turn the gun on him self.

After we manage to come up witha good storyline and ruff plan of what are opping storyline is going to be about we had to come yp with a title, we whated to intise views to watch it but not give too Tyler’s good thoughts
much of what the film was going to be about in the end we chose the name “BEHIND IT ALL”

Audience Research results

These results how us that age and gender matter little when I comes to thrillers and most enjoy a classic conventional thriller that feels the audience with allot of tension and suspense what was also very helpful is that the audience seem to clearly know the difference between a horror and means I will need to clearly show this in my thriller. Lastly I believe my results would only increase in the reliability by increasing the amount of people I and out my questionnaire to.

Conventions of an opening sequence

The conventions of a operning title sequence would be

-Produced by
-Published by
-Directed by
-writtern by
-staring main high profiled actors
- name of movie ( could also coventialy be at the end of opening seqence)
-Music by
-Cinematorgraphy
-Editing by

conventions of a thirler operning sequences will also contain

lots of close ups- to hide key information from the audince and keep them wondering. it also keep the view glued to the movies as they want to fins out why and what happend

titles fade slowly- this is a tool used to engadge setle and calm anxoise veiws who have been waiting to view thease blockbuster movies for a long time

Not starting in cronilogical oreder- this is to confues the audince and make them beigin on the hunt to peace the story together right from the off.

music is normaly simple- this is to bild tention and suspernce with is normaly created through a simple heart beat sound or a merithenic sound.

small hints- whitch normaly take the form of pitchers clothing and personaly body marks witch help the audience to make the loop later along the line of the film

Conventions of a thriller

The conventions of a thriller are

Voilence- always in most movies but in a thriller is more implied than shown.

Mysterios- their alway a sence of confution and subplots to through the veiws.

Dark Scenes- again leading over from the mysteriosness to the unknown in thrillers.

Ereie Music- this in thrillers builds tention and helps to make you fell edgy.

Suspense- leaves you as a audience normaily waiting to find out the truth later on in the film.

Shock- unlike a unexspected twist you normaly no its going to happen but are serprise to see it actulay happen at the time and place you at in the film of a thriller.

Twisted characters- characters who normal start of as a humble person normal end up to be the bad guy but with thirllers it knows this is as a coman steriotype of all films and tries to duoble bluff this while making you think other wise of the character.

A unexspected twist/complexted storyline- Again in most films you can see a twist coming along the line but with an unexspected twist in the convention of a thriller is to catch you completely of gaurd and make you as the audinces slightly confuesed on how it actualy worked out.

Crime- you will normaly fined in most thrillers theirs a crime that as been comited and the hole plot of the story is to peace things back together and work out who commited.
